Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance
We empower our business partners to be more sustainable.
VoltaGrid is committed to protecting the communities in which we live and work. We are constantly exploring new technologies and challenging ourselves creatively every day.
Although our power generation equipment significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions when compared to traditional power generation methods, we will relentlessly research opportunities to continue reducing the environmental impact of our equipment, tasks, and operations.
Sustainability achievements
To ensure compliance with our ESG commitment, VoltaGrid continually monitors sustainability achievements using the World Economic Forum’s four pillars:
Principles
Emphasizing purpose, strategy, and accountability, this governance-focused pillar includes criteria for risk and ethical behavior.
People
Focusing on corporate culture and treatment of employees, this pillar’s measures include diversity, wage gap, and health and safety criteria.
Planet
Underscoring our dependency and impact on the natural environment, metrics for this environment-focused pillar include greenhouse gas emissions, land protection, and water use.
Prosperity
Reflecting how a company contributes to the financial well-being of its community, indicators tracked under this social-impact pillar include employment, wealth generation, taxes paid, and R&D expenses.
Empowering our partners
At VoltaGrid, we believe that we can change the world with best-in-class, affordable, clean, and intelligent energy solutions. Our innovative technology enables our partners to focus on their core competencies while deploying practical solutions that improve their own ESG performance.
To empower our partners — both clients and vendors — to embrace ESG, VoltaGrid reviews opportunity-specific risk factors and disclosures at least quarterly. These reviews integrate all forms of risks and opportunities, including economic, supply chain, environmental, social issues, climate change, data security, and more.
We’re also tracking how our solutions help our clients reduce their Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and offer carbon offsets to help our clients become net-zero today.
And, recognizing the quantity of rare earth minerals that go into some of our equipment, we’re requiring all of our vendors to certify that the materials we supply have no incidents of child, forced, or compulsory labor practices.
