Nathan Ough

President & CEO

Nathan Ough has an extensive background in natural gas fuel technology and generation deployment across North America. Prior to VoltaGrid, Nathan co-founded Certarus Ltd and its associated USA business unit, which included the development and expansion of the organization over the last decade to one of the leading low-carbon energy solutions providers. Nathan was an executive for Certarus since its foundation and was instrumental in expanding the USA platform from no presence in 2014 to now one of the leading natural gas fuel companies nationwide.

Prior to Certarus, Nathan worked on Macquarie Capital’s Global Energy Investment Banking Team, covering the energy capital markets. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of New Brunswick.

Micah Foster

Chief Financial Officer

Micah Foster has enjoyed over a 20-year career with experience as an Executive Officer for publicly traded companies in both the upstream oil and natural gas industry as well as the oilfield services industry. Prior to VoltaGrid, Micah served as the Chief Financial Officer of Natural Gas Services Group, Inc., leading a company-wide data automation effort and securing an upsized syndicated bank facility to facilitate the company’s continued strategy of expansion into the high-horsepower compression market. Prior to Natural Gas Services, Micah served for 8 years as the Chief Accounting Officer of Legacy Reserves Inc. and its predecessor Legacy Reserves LP where he was involved with the evaluation and integration of over $2 billion of acquisitions of producing properties in over 100 separate transactions. In addition, Micah led the accounting function during a transition from a pass-through MLP structure to a C-Corp as well as a corporate restructuring effort. Prior to Legacy, Micah served as a senior auditor for Ernst&Young, LLP. Micah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Abilene Christian University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Les Wise

Executive Vice President

Les Wise has an extensive background in the pressure pumping services sector. Over 24 years of experience in the oil and gas services sector specializing in technology and operations, building relationships, and developing the successful execution of technological initiatives and strategies. Les has facilitated the growth of technologies and developed numerous partnerships to harness their technological strengths, bringing them together for product development and market growth. Previous positions held in operational, engineering, business development, management, and executive capacities with Nowsco/BJ Services, Calfrac Well Services, CW Manufacturing, and other small business ventures. Les holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

David Bell

Vice President of Utility and Microgrid Development

Dave Bell has extensive experience in a leadership role helping the utility and general industry meet their key business objectives by improving reliability and productivity.

Prior to VoltaGrid, Dave led the team that developed the Utility Sector for Aggreko and was involved in 100’s of MW ‘s of temporary power installations on the North American utility grid.

Dave’s team was pivotal in the first temporary grid-scale natural gas install in Aggreko’s history using virtual pipeline gas, after a natural disaster.

Dave is looking forward to helping our customers, using the best-in-class equipment and fuel supply to help them through the energy transition.

Korby Bracken

Senior Director – Health, Safety & Environment

Korby Bracken has 25 years of industry experience in the health, safety, and environmental protection space. Most recently he was the Senior Director of Health, Safety and Process Safety Management for DCP Midstream, LLC’s large midstream multi-state operations and workforce of 2,000 employees. Prior to DCP, he served as the Director of Global Environmental and International Exploration and Rockies Health, Safety & Environmental for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.

Korby holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and is a Professional Engineer.

Justin Carlisle

Senior Vice President of Operations 

Justin Carlisle has 25 years of experience in the generator business, both as a technical expert and in managing teams. He is well-known in the generator rental industry as both a leader and a subject matter expert.

Prior to VoltaGrid, Justin served as the Technical Services Manager for Aggreko, where he led a team of product specialists and commissioning technicians to both manage a complex fleet as well as install complex projects. He started his career as a service technician and has experience in all aspects of operations.

Justin is excited to serve VoltaGrid and its customers through innovative solutions and excellent service.

John Chavner

Vice President of Information Technology

John Chavner is a transformative technology leader with over 25 years of IT business success. He has experience in startups and the Fortune 500 including companies such as GE Oil & Gas and Honeywell, among others.

John has extensive experience in the latest Cloud architecture and worked in the design and implementation of distributed systems in many industrial settings. He stays at the forefront of this rapidly changing landscape through his extensive network of leading industry peers and relentless study of the latest trends in technology.

Kevin Cox

Director, Integrated Services

Kevin Cox brings us a vast amount of experience in the management and care of high-value assets. Before VoltaGrid, Kevin worked in coil tubing, land drilling, and pipeline operations. He is a proven leader, trainer, and retired United States Marine Corps decorated member. Kevin is a highly detail-orientated strategic planner. He has proven successful in providing asset, maintenance, technical services, operations support, and project management expertise and reliability in the private and military sectors.

Joshua Edge

Vice President of Transportation

Joshua Edge has over 30 years of experience in Fleet Logistics and Operations. He has a long and proven track record of building teams from the ground up and managing them safely and efficiently.

He started his career as a truck driver, and he has continued to develop and grow his skill set over the decades, culminating in his current role at VoltaGrid as Vice President of Transportation. Prior to VoltaGrid, Joshua held senior operations positions in the oil field and CNG spaces. His most recent role was Senior Director for Pilot Travel Centers, where he started the CNG supply and operations division that supported VoltaGrid and other customers.

Joshua is excited to be with VoltaGrid and looks forward to safely growing and operating VoltaGrid’s CNG supply division to support the company’s power goals.

TJ Gill

Director, Facilities & Natural Gas Processing

TJ has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, devising innovative engineering design solutions. In his previous role, TJ managed the design and construction of compressed natural gas facilities and customer fuel delivery sites across the United States and Canada. Additionally, TJ has experience in the design and construction of LNG Plants, offloading, and regasification facilities. TJ is a tenured facilities engineering leader who has worked with multiple reputable oil and gas companies. TJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta.

Brad Kaufman

Vice President of Sales-Oil and Gas

Brad Kaufman has an extensive engineering background in hydraulic fracturing with significant experience in electrically powered frac fleets. Over the past decade, he has also held management roles in Engineering, Business Development, and Operations at US Well Services, Weatherford, C&J Energy Services, Nabors Completion & Production Services, and Superior Well Services. While at US Well Services, Brad was part of the team that brought to market the latest generations of electric fracturing fleets and the first mobile microgrid to be utilized for electric fracturing.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

Kevin Madison

Director of Gas Services

Kevin Madison has over 10 years of experience with natural gas that includes completions, gas conditioning and compression. Prior to Joining Voltagrid in August 2023, Kevin spent 7 years with Certarus and played a fundamental role in the development and growth of CNG compression hubs throughout the southern United States. Kevin has been major contributor in driving safety within the organization and building the teams required for CNG, RNG and Hydrogen operations. Throughout his career he has a proven track record of maintaining a high level of customer service and equipment reliability. Kevin’s background prior to the oil and gas industry was in Aviation technology and aircraft maintenance.

Craig Morton

Director, Technical Services – Gas Solutions

Craig has 18 years of progressive energy industry experience in operations, installation, and commissioning. He began his career in production operations and moved into midstream gas processing. He has leveraged this experience to continually refine process, improve operations, and deliver safe, reliable service. Most recently he was responsible for the installation, commissioning, and operation of mobile field gas processing solutions with ColdStream Energy LLC in the DJ Basin, Delaware Basin, Permian, and Bakken. Craig is excited to utilize VoltaGrid’s innovative equipment offerings to provide best in class ESG driven solutions to our customers challenges.

Kate Saltzman

Vice President of People Operations

Kate Saltzman has spent the last 15 years of her career working in the oil and gas space. Most recently, she was the Director of Human Resources for Fluid Delivery Solutions, LLC overseeing all human resources activities for 900 employees. Prior to that, she was with FTS International based out of the Aledo, TX, District, responsible for the direct HR needs of 35 rotational crews operating throughout the United States as well as a manufacturing facility. Kate started her oil and gas career in Pittsburgh, PA, at Red Oak Water Transfer and assisted in the merger that created Rockwater Energy Solutions.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English from Texas Tech University. She also holds her Professional Human Resources certification.

Achal Shah

Vice President of Engineering

Achal Shah brings a wealth of expertise in engineering solutions for upstream Oil & Gas Services. His extensive background includes designing and commissioning hydraulic fracturing equipment with a focus on Power Management, Controls, and Sensors during his tenure at Halliburton. Achal played a key role in deploying a cloud-based IoT health monitoring application for mobile equipment. In his recent position at Stellar Technology, he served as the resident expert for the Energy industry, leading techno-commercial customer engagement and strategic vendor management across critical projects.

Achal holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

Brent Slette

Vice President of Operations – Gas Services

Brent Slette has 30 years of experience in the natural gas compression and refrigeration industry, both as a technical expert and in various management positions. The last 11 years have been in the CNG delivery business.

Before joining VoltaGrid in June 2023, Brent was one of the original employees of Certarus Ltd since their inception in 2012 and was instrumental in the growth and development of their CNG delivery business over his 10-year tenure.

Before Certarus, Brent held multiple upper-level management positions within Toromont and Enerflex after several years of mechanic work. Brent has a Journeyman Certificate in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Jordan Strouse

General Counsel

Jordan has spent his entire legal career representing energy service and petroleum technology companies. Before joining VoltaGrid, he worked in private practice for eight years. He founded a boutique law firm specializing in the commercial and corporate needs of energy service clients worldwide, drawing on over a decade of international energy experience.

Previously, Jordan served as Regional General Counsel—Africa for National Oilwell Varco in Cape Town, managing legal affairs across 17 countries. He was also General Counsel in a portfolio company for Norwegian private equity firm HitecVision, overseeing 20+ acquisitions, commencing operations in 8 countries, and helping guide the business from startup to $300 million in revenue. Jordan has represented VoltaGrid since its inception and holds a law degree.
